Macon County has a state-of-the-art airfield and terminal facility serving the immediate area. The Macon County Airport is located in Iotla Valley in the Smoky Mountains of Western North Carolina. Macon County Business Development Center

To assist in workforce training, Macon County has an incubator or business development facility located within our Industrial Park. The facility is currently undergoing renovations to accommoate today's industry and entrepreneurial needs.

Macon County Industrial Park

In the early 70’s Macon County purchased 102 acres for the development of an Industrial Park. (Plat download)  The county applied for and received grants from the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration and the Appalachian Regional Commission to assist in design and development costs of the Park.
